Chiropractic
Chiropractic is one of the five university medical professions according to the LPmed (Federal Law on Medical Professions).
Chiropractors are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their consequences on the functioning of the nervous system and on general health.
The chiropractor’s goal is to restore the normal transmission of the message between the nervous system and the body through adjustments to the spine. An adjustment is the application of precise pressure on a specific segment to help the body recover on its own. By allowing the body to work at its best, chiropractic can relieve pain, improve spinal function and should be considered part of a healthy lifestyle, regardless of the patient’s age.

The “cracking” called cavitation, is painless. This comes from a passage of
molecules from within the joints which alter their state from liquid to gas.

Dr. Marina Da Costa
Chiropractor specialist
Member CSA, ARC, ACGE, ECU
Passionate about people and health, Marina discovered chiropractic at the age of 17. The alchemy worked immediately, she knew she would make it her profession. She obtained her federal postgraduate diploma as a chiropractor specialist in 2016 in Bern. Her goal is to provide each of her patients with a holistic approach to health care, allowing them to improve their health on both a structural and emotional level. In order to identify and act on the different stresses that alter our health, Dr. Da Costa uses several chiropractic tools (applied kinesiology, biomechanical adjustments, neuro-emotional techniques…).
Sharing this common vision that considers each patient as a unique and singular being, she joins the MAZ Clinic team in 2023. Concerned about bringing more satisfaction and results to her patients, Marina continues to train regularly in the different chiropractic techniques.
